How to Use Milk Stock?
Manage expressed breast milk by date, amount and storage type. Expiry dates are calculated automatically; expired stocks are flagged with alerts.
QUICK START
Adding a New Stock Record
- Tap Add Stock.
- Enter amount (ml), date and time of expression.
- Select storage type: room temperature, fridge or deep freezer.
- Expiry date is automatically calculated and shown based on selection.
EXPIRY TRACKING
Automatic Expiry Calculation
- Room temp: ~4 hours, fridge: 4 days, deep freezer: 6 months rule is applied.
- Stocks nearing expiry are listed yellow, expired ones in red.
- If notifications are on, you receive an alert when expiry approaches.
STOCK LIST
Total Stock View
- All stock records are listed grouped by storage type.
- Total available amount (ml) is shown at the top of the screen.
- You can instantly see when the milk in each container will expire.
USE AND DELETE
Stock Consumption
- Tap a stock entry to mark it as used or delete it.
- Using the oldest stock first per FIFO principle (first in, first out) is healthier.
- The app automatically moves the oldest stock to the top of the list.
